Strengthen your ability to read philosophy, understand complex ideas, and think for yourself by participating in this intimate seminar. In this seminar we will examine our understanding of Aristotle’s Nicomachean Ethics, ix. 8, on “self-love.” to learn what Aristotle means, the evidence for his arguments, how these arguments relate to Ayn Rand’s philosophy of Objectivism, and what implications this chapter has for our lives.

All participants are expected to have read this reading before the session and to bring a copy with them. Here is a link to the text we will be using.
